We bought a new house!

We’ve known forever that we were eventually going to move house, we were just waiting for the right one to pop up.

At the start of the summer we noticed one which ticked a lot of boxes on our verrry long check list - not all, definitely not all. But it had the potential to become what we’re looking for. So, being a bit spontaneous we decided to check it out. We liked it, we went for it…

And…we got it!

The house is on the left and on the right there’s an outhouse and garage. It needs a good bit of work…like we’re talking years here. But sure we loooove a project!

So this is it! It’s a win-win for us; the forest is our closest neighbour (his thing), but we’re still only a 5-10 minute drive to the city centre (my thing). We took our time moving in over the summer, while freshening up our old house before selling. A few months later, we’re finally getting settled in and it’s starting to feel like home.

So now the fun begins; the planning, the Pinteresting, the moodboarding…and the work of course! This will definitely be a slow renovation, but we’re here for the long-term and gearing ourselves up to make a start!
