FRINCH

Welcome to this months FRÓE INTERIORS CHALLENGE

We have been busy over here!!

So many little bits to finish but this is the perfect time to get it done with FRINCH.

Story so far, we started some renovations on our living room afew months ago which kind of ran into the hallway and bathroom so loads going on but nothing is finished!! I have decided this months Fróe Interior Challenge is a great time to cross off some of the smaller finishing details in the hallway and start to see the light at the end of the renovations we started ourselves months ago!!

Can’t get enough of the DIY!!

In the hallway we put down some new floors for a warmer feel. After ripping the old skirting off we obviously needed new skirting which I painted black(but now needs a touch up) along with the stairs .

We removed our old sitting room door and inserted a pocket door which is where we are to date .

Still lots to do:

-sand and paint walls

-paint skirting

-hang pictures

-fix wall lights

-fix door handles

This week is my week to get it done

Exciting!!

UPDATE ----

I have been making progress with my FRINCH hallway project.

  • sanding walls

  • painting skirting

  • painting walls

The plasterboard has finally vanished under a clean coat of whiteness. Although we had just become accustomed to the patchy walls at this point . Sanding , not my favourite thing to do is behind us thankfully. It’s not even the motion of sanding it is the mess thats made from it and all the cleaning up after the dust settles or when it eventually settles, that I hate.

My door edge handle for the pocket door arrived and very excited to get it fitted.I wanted something neat that sat flush with the door edge as I have found kids messy fingers can push anything into any crevice. Speaking of door handles I have ordered some new matte black for the remainder of my hallway doors and escutcheons that I will change out later in the week.

I got some images printed onto canvas which I then had box framed some time last year and I adore the images so much I am going to reuse these again in the hallway except this time I will add some picture lights above for a more moody entrance way.

Still lots to do but I will just leave you with this little before video as already it has changed soooo much! I can’t wait to finish.
